A subsequent Morning Consult <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/morningconsult.com\/2024-gop-primary-election-tracker\/\">poll<\/a> showed Trump leading Gov. <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/ron-desantis\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ron DeSantis<\/a> ( R &#8211; FL ) by a factor of 28.<\/p>\n<p>William Jacobson, a Cornell Law teacher and the creator of <i>Legal Insurrection<\/i>, said this week on traditional radio host Tony Katz,&#8221; This is Trump&#8217;s attempt to stay any sort of official trial.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Jacobson continued,&#8221; This is his attempt to start a media storm, which he&#8217;s good at doing&#8230; And to put pressure on the DA&#8217;S practice not to take that final stage, whether that will work or not.<\/p>\n<p>A possible indictment of the former president may be postponed until at least last week, according to reports released on Thursday that the grand judge overseeing Bragg&#8217;s analysis did not notice the Trump case.<\/p>\n<p>However, there is still time for House Republicans to interest answers from Bragg because of the discrepancy between Trump&#8217;s arrest claims and the current situation.
