According to <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/think-tanks\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Economic Policy Institute <\/a>study released on Thursday, this increase may be attributed to policies implemented in response to the <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/coronavirus\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">COVID-19<\/a> crisis as well as the tightening labor market due to low unemployment, giving workers more leverage over their employers.<\/p>\n<p><b><a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/federal-reserve-rate-hike-is-9th-since-march-2022\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">9th Federal Reserve Rate Since March 2022<\/a><\/b><\/p>\n<p>According to <i>Axios<\/i>, Elise Gould, who co-wrote the analysis, said that&#8221; for so many individuals, they didn&#8217;t really realize that there might be better opportunities through there.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>With only 2 %, middle-wage workers, who fall between the 40th and 60th rankings of the income distribution, did not experience nearly as much of a rise as their lower counterparts.
