Parental Rights in Education Law by Ron DeSantis( R. ).<\/p>\n<div>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/winred.tomcotton.com\/tom-cotton\/claim-yours-ots-fbeacon-ads-30?utm_source=rc&#038;utm_medium=fbeaconads&#038;utm_campaign=2023marchots\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/winred.tomcotton.com\/tom-cotton\/claim-yours-ots-fbeacon-ads-30?utm_source=rc&#038;utm_medium=fbeaconads&#038;utm_campaign=2023marchots\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>The law, which <a href=\"https:\/\/freebeacon.com\/media\/watch-the-media-reframe-floridas-parental-rights-in-education-bill\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">critics<\/a> dubbed the&#8221; Don&#8217;t State Gay&#8221; work when it was first passed last spring, increases classroom transparency and forbids lessons on sexual orientation and gender identity from being taught in school through third-grade rooms. Unless such training is either expressly required by think academic standards &#8230; or is part of a sexual health system or medical lesson for which the student&#8217;s parent has the option to have their student not go, the proposed <a href=\"https:\/\/flrules.org\/Faw\/FAWDocuments\/FAWVOLUMEFOLDERS2023\/4952\/4952doc.pdf?oref=csfl_firstread_nl\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">rule<\/a> would extend that prohibition to classrooms in grades 4 through 12.<\/p>\n<p>The DeSantis administration is working to fight awoke curricula in Florida&#8217;s public schools, and the expansion is a part of that effort. After DeSantis rejected the drawing program for its awoke and false content, the College Board <a href=\"https:\/\/freebeacon.com\/latest-news\/college-board-backtracks-on-woke-ap-curriculum-after-desantis-criticism\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">revised<\/a> its deep college Advanced Placement course in African-American studies last month. DeSantis <a href=\"https:\/\/abcnews.go.com\/US\/florida-governor-signs-bill-targeting-transgender-athletes-1st\/story?id=78023592\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">signed<\/a> the Fairness in Women&#8217;s Sports Act in June 2021, which forbade natural males who identify as women from participating in female athletes.<\/p>\n<p>DeSantis said earlier this month in Simi Valley, California, that school&#8221; should not be teaching a second-grader that they can find their sexuality ,&#8221; to which the audience applauded in unison.<\/p>\n<p>DeSantis declared,&#8221; In Florida, we say very clearly that we will never ever submit to the ring rabble.&#8221; Our position is where the awake go to perish.<\/p>\n<p>On April 19, the Florida Department of Education is expected to vote on the evolution.
