However, some drivers in Nevada have had their applications rejected for being too risqu\u00e9 for the road. Hundreds of personalized license plate applications are deemed inappropriate each year due to various reasons such as drug references, gang references, vulgarity, and law enforcement confusion.<\/p>\n<p>One rejected application was for \u201cBUD19,\u201d which the driver said was representative of their dog\u2019s name and year of birth, but the DMV thought it was representative of drugs and marijuana. Another application for \u201cBILLSMFA\u201d was also rejected because the DMV thought \u201cMFA sounds and looks like mafia; a gang.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Some other rejected personalized license plate requests were \u201cWHYYYY\u201d and \u201cZZZZZZ\u201d because they could cause confusion for law enforcement, and \u201cBADAB\u201d because the DMV considered it profane.<\/p>\n<p>One driver wanted to put \u201cPOO BUG\u201d on their personalized license plate, in reference to a brown 1968 Volkswagen Bug.
