Biden had previously indicated that he would sign the Washington crime bill reversal, but the White House had stayed mum on what it would do about the COVID-19 bill once it cleared Congress.<\/p>\n<p>The White House had been noncommittal about the COVID-19 legislation before it passed. However, Biden issued a statement directly addressing the COVID-19 bill shortly afterward. In his statement, Biden shared Congress&#8217;s goal of releasing the most information possible about the origins of COVID-19.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We need to get to the bottom of COVID-19&#8217;s origins to help ensure we can better prevent future pandemics,&#8221; Biden said.<\/p>\n<p>A veto would have been difficult to sustain.
