To qualify, residents must have filed their individual income taxes for 2020 and 2021 on time, have been full-time residents for all of 2020 and 2021, and not have been claimed by someone else as a dependent. For HB 222, residents must have owned property in Montana for at least seven months.\n   <\/p>\n<p>\n      The majority of possible funds are provided by HB 192, with a maximum of $2,500 for couples filing jointly and $1,250 for individuals filing separately. Those eligible for HB 222 will receive a lump sum of $500.\n   <\/p>\n<p>\n      The Montana Department of Revenue will begin issuing individual income tax rebates in July and property tax rebates on August 15.
