O\u2019Keefe believes that if people knew what was going on in these areas, they would be rightfully outraged and make better-informed decisions.<\/p>\n<p>O\u2019Keefe stepped down from Project Veritas last month after a conflict with the board of directors over allegations of misspending donor money and breaking the organization\u2019s bylaws. He launched the O\u2019Keefe Media Group soon after, promising to be surrounded by the most elite journalists in the world. The mission of the new media group involves getting little cameras into the hands of thousands of people and helping everyone be a journalist.<\/p>\n<p>According to O\u2019Keefe, the goal of the media group is to teach people about journalism ethics, technology, and recording laws in various states. The information will all be open-sourced on the website, which is not yet available to the public. Under O\u2019Keefe\u2019s leadership, Project Veritas broke several significant stories through sting operations and whistleblowers, a style of journalism that critics have called deceptive.
