Joss Whedon was able to step in, but Affleck stated that it only made matters worse.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;There was an idea of someone [Whedon] coming in, like, \u2018I&#8217;ll rescue you and we&#8217;ll do 60 days of shooting and I&#8217;ll write a whole thing around what you have. I&#8217;ve got the secret,'&#8221; The &#8220;Good Will Hunting&#8221; Star said. &#8220;And it wasn&#8217;t the secret. As DC Studios&#8217; heads, Peter Safran and Gunn recently assumed control.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I would not direct something for the [James] Gunn DC,&#8221; Affleck stated. &#8220;Absolutely not.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I have nothing against James Gunn,&#8221; He concluded. &#8220;Nice guy, sure he&#8217;s going to do a great job. I just wouldn&#8217;t want to go in and direct in the way they&#8217;re doing that. I&#8217;m not interested in that.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The &#8220;Deep Water&#8221; Jennifer Garner was Jennifer&#8217;s first wife for over a decade. The couple has three children. Lopez and Affleck rekindled romance in 2021. In July 2022, they finally tied the knot at a chapel in Las Vegas.
