Emmanuel Macron, the French President, had advocated for raising the retirement age to prevent the country&#8217;s debt. <\/p>\n<p><b>IRS REMINDS RETRAIREES APRIL 1, IS THE LAST DAY TO START RECEIVING IRAS OR 401(K), PLANS MONEY<\/b> <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Today, uncertainty looms, &#8221; According to the, Elisabeth Borne was France&#8217;s Prime Minister. <i>Associated Press<\/i>. &#8220;[But] we cannot gamble on the future of our pensions. That reform is necessary.&#8221; <\/p>\n<p>Protesters calling for an end the legislation have voiced outrage at the move. They had called for it to be stopped since January. An outline of the vote suggests it could be called as soon as next week. The proposal will need to be approved by more than half the National Assembly. If the vote of no confidence passes, it will be the first time since 1962 that the French government has removed an incumbent president. Bipartisan senators in the U.S. Senate introduced a similar move earlier this year.
