The committee is investigating whether Biden&#8217;s relatives were operating an influence-peddling operation without the president&#8217;s knowledge. Comer stated earlier this week that the probe into Hunter Biden&#8217;s foreign business dealings could result in six to seven family members being ensnared.<\/p>\n<p>According to the reports, the committee found the payment to Hallie Bideen while reviewing suspicious activity reports received this week by the Treasury Department. These reports indicate possible illegal transactions. Reports on Hunter and James Biden are said to be more than 150.<\/p>\n<p>The transaction reportedly took place in March 2017, after a company called Chinese State Energy HK Limited\u2014an affiliate of another Chinese energy company that Hunter Biden worked with\u2014sent a $3 million wire transfer to a company owned by an associate of the Biden family. According to reports, more than $1 million was disbursed to members of the Biden family, including Hallie.<\/p>\n<p>Hallie Biden (the widow of President Biden\u2019s oldest son Beau) was in a romantic relationship at the time of the transaction. They began an affair when Hunter was still married to Kathleen. It continued until 2019.
