[She] settled in Ukraine and is now a refugee again back in Berlin where she originally left as a Jew in the Holocaust,&#8221; He said this at the South by Southwest conference held in Texas on March 15th.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;These are the stories that are happening out there. And so this stuff is so important. This hate is interconnected.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It is evident in the current discourse in the country. You see it in the divide that we have \u2026 [the] We have to speak up against the hateful things out there.&#8221; he continued.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We have to speak out against cowardice. People, as my wife likes to say, the so-called leaders \u2026 because you can&#8217;t be in leadership if you&#8217;re not going to lead.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Nationwide, there have been parents confronting, mostly peacefully, school boards over the teaching of far-left curricula including critical race theory,\u00a0and stocking what many see as &#8220;Pornographic&#8221; books in their libraries.<\/p>\n<p>In emailed statements to The Epoch Times, Jewish organizations blasted Emhoff for the comparison.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I am a Holocaust survivor as a child.&#8221; said Zionist Organization of America president Morton Klein.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;How dare Emhoff absurdly and mindlessly compare Nazis demonizing Jews as causing every evil in the world and supporting the murder of Jews\u2014to parents who promote Jewish values by opposing teaching young children about various sexual issues and urging children to think about what gender they may really be.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Emhoff is a dangerous and silly fool who should not be taken seriously.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The Republican Jewish Coalition attacked Emhoff for his parallel, saying that it exemplifies a larger issue.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Jews do not feel safe on the streets of Joe Biden&#8217;s America, and rightfully so.
