The act also allows for <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/medicare\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Medicare<\/a> We were able to negotiate lower prescription drug prices for seniors and set a $35 price limit on insulin. <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The result of the law is that seniors on Medicare get common vaccines for things like tetanus, whooping cough, shingles, they get them for free now,&#8221; Biden said. &#8220;That used to cost them up to $200 per shot.&#8221; <\/p>\n<p>Starting April 1, seniors could see out-of\u2013pocket costs for a variety of services. &#8220;Part B&#8221; According to a White House factsheet, prescription drug prices have dropped by $2 to $390 for an average dose. <\/p>\n<p>After the Bureau of Economic Analysis reported February that inflation fell to 4.6% annually, the speech on lowering prescription drug prices is a signal that inflationary pressures are decreasing in spite of the Federal Reserve&#8217;s efforts to slow down economywide spending and raise interest rates. <\/p>\n<p>Nevada diabetic, who claimed that his insulin costs had been cut by half because of Biden&#8217;s actions, introduced Biden. <\/p>\n<p>As he has done in nearly all his speeches recently, the president lashed out at Republicans, claiming that the party wants to take people&#8217;s healthcare. <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;These MAGA Republicans, they&#8217;re just different,&#8221; Biden said. &#8220;They continue to be determined to repeal the Affordable Care Act. It&#8217;s hard to believe, but they&#8217;ve already voted to change or get rid of the ACA 50 times since it passed.
