Baptist said that many people have spent years trying to stop the drug from being approved outside of court and through the FDA.<\/p>\n<p>The hearing, which was highly anticipated, marked the largest legal case against the practice of abortion since the Supreme Court&#8217;s 6-3 Republican majority decision. <i>Roe v. Wade <\/i>In 2011, states were allowed to pass laws prohibiting or severely restricting certain procedures.<\/p>\n<p>The lawsuit was filed by the Texas-based Alliance for Hippocratic Medicine, along with other religious doctors. They sued the FDA in November to stop the sale of the drug. Their lawsuit is currently being heard through the federal courts.<\/p>\n<p>The plaintiffs filed the lawsuit in Amarillo where the ADF was incorporated three months earlier. This allowed them to ensure their case reached Kacsmaryk who was a Trump appointee and served as the deputy general counsel to President Donald Trump. <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/firstliberty.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">First Liberty Institute<\/a>A firm that represents a variety of Christian plaintiffs in First Amendment lawsuits all the way through to the Supreme Court. <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/restoring-america\/faith-freedom-self-reliance\/high-school-football-coach-kennedy-reinstated-supreme-court\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Supreme Court<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>If Kacsmaryk issues a nationwide order against the drug, then the Biden administration will likely quickly appeal that decision to the Republican-majority U.S. Court of Appeals.<\/p>\n<p>Some legal experts disagree. <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/restoring-america\/fairness-justice\/texas-federal-judge-abortion-drug-mifepristone-food-and-drug-administration\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Speculative<\/a> The judge could pursue a narrower route and prohibit the drug&#8217;s sale in Texas only.<\/p>\n<p><b><a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CLICK HERE TO READ MORE ABOUT THE WASHINGTON EXAMINER<\/a><\/b><\/p>\n<p>The <i>Washington Examiner <\/i>We reached out to Planned Parenthood and ADF for comments.<\/p>\n<div id=\"dsk-banner-ad-g\"><\/div>\n<p><i>This is a still in development story.
