The IRS will usually allow the taxpayer to use the tool within 24 hours of receiving notification that they have filed. <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/tax\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Tax<\/a> Return electronically. Paper filers should wait up to four weeks before filing. <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.irs.gov\/newsroom\/tax-time-guide-irs-provides-easy-access-to-tax-refund-status-with-wheres-my-refund-tool-no-need-to-call\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">According to<\/a> The IRS. <\/p>\n<p><b><a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/policy\/economy\/minimum-income-file-taxes-irs-2023\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">TAXES 2023: WHAT MINIMUM INCOME IS REQUIRED TO FILE?<\/a><\/b> <\/p>\n<p>Both will be required for taxpayers <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/social-security\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Social Security<\/a> Number or Individual Taxpayer ID number, filing status and exact dollar amount of their expected refund. This information is updated every day. <\/p>\n<p>The IRS reminds taxpayers that anyone who needs their refund quickly should file their tax returns electronically. <\/p>\n<p>Although most electronic returns take less than 21 business days to process via direct deposit, there are some exceptions. This deadline applies only to retirees who receive their first minimum distribution payment in this year. After that, future minimum distribution payments must occur by Dec. 31. <\/p>\n<p>On Saturday <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/policy\/economy\/tax-season-irs-open-taxpayer-assistance-centers-us\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The IRS has multiple help-desks<\/a> These centers are where taxpayers can receive assistance from IRS employees in person, without needing to book an appointment.
