Your predecessor, Kayleigh McEnany, has just signed on as a Fox News contributor,\u201d a reporter told Psaki during the Tuesday press briefing. \u201cI\u2019m wondering if you have any good wishes for her, advice, and if she does have a show, if you\u2019d be willing to go on it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSure,\u201d the press secretary responded. \u201cI\u2019ve done Fox News Sunday twice now.\u00a0 I\u2019m happy to go on a range of shows.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI will say that I knew Kayleigh a little bit, not well,\u201d Psaki continued. \u201cI met her when we were both CNN contributors and we did a few shows \u2014 I\u2019m not sure how many \u2014 together.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLike many Americans, we disagree on political issues, but we talked about our families, our spouses, sports, all sorts of things in the green room, and I certainly wish her the best in her future endeavors,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n<p>On Jan. 20, McEnany posted messages of support for Psaki, <span class=\"rollover-people\" data-behavior=\"rolloverpeople\">communications director Kate Bedingfield, principal deputy press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre,\u00a0and senior adviser and chief spokeswoman Symone Sanders.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>\u201cWishing all the best to President [Joe Biden\u2019s] incoming press\u00a0&#038; communications team,\u201d McEnany tweeted, captioning a photo of letters she left to the communications team.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSending my prayers as you begin your service to the American people!\u201d McEnany added.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Wishing all the best to President <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/JoeBiden?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@JoeBiden<\/a>\u2019s incoming press &#038; communications team.<\/p>\n<p>Left these notes for <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/PressSec?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@PressSec<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/K_JeanPierre?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@K_JeanPierre<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/SymoneDSanders?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@SymoneDSanders<\/a> &#038; <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/KBeds?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@KBeds<\/a> \u2014 sending my prayers as you begin your service to the American People! <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/CFsVGSRDiC\">pic.twitter.com\/CFsVGSRDiC<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Kayleigh McEnany (@kayleighmcenany) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/kayleighmcenany\/status\/1351951594359762947?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">January 20, 2021<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Moreover, on Tuesday, McEnany noted that when she met Psaki she was \u201cvery kind,\u201d as well as \u201csome of her colleagues in the press shop.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The pair, however, are treated very differently by the press, McEnany said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s different in a big way,\u201d she outlined, <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/03\/02\/kayleigh-mcenany-press-differently-jen-psaki\/\">according<\/a> to The Daily Caller. \u201cI\u2019ll never forget watching one of the early press briefing and [Psaki] was asked about the Antifa riots and I believe said she hadn\u2019t spoken to the president about that and they let her move on.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhereas, if I would have been asked that about violence on the other side of the aisle, that wouldn\u2019t have been an answer that flew. Nor should it have. And so I think just the standards are different,\u201d McEnany explained.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cA Democrat woman standing at that podium would never have had a Playboy reporter in the back of the room shouting at her as she left and nor should a Democrat woman ever have to face that and nor should a Republican woman,\u201d the former press secretary added.\u00a0\u201cThere is a modicum of respect that I think reporters and those at the podium and in a political role people should have for one another.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>McEnany\u00a0was named as President Trump\u2019s press secretary in April 2020, replacing\u00a0Stephanie Grisham.\u00a0Before her time as press secretary, she had served as Trump\u2019s campaign spokeswoman and as a contributor on CNN.<\/p>\n<p class>Fox News host Harris Faulkner announced the former press secretary\u2019s position with the network on-air.\u00a0\u201cIt is my distinct pleasure to welcome Kayleigh McEnany to the Fox family,\u201d Faulkner said, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcnews.com\/media\/kayleigh-mcenany-joins-fox-news-rcna327\">according<\/a> to NBC. \u201cWe will be seeing much more of her.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>McEnany was known for her calm handling of an adversarial press during daily briefings, sometimes even withstanding heckling. In December, she <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2020\/12\/18\/kayleigh-mcenany-conservative-women-media-mary-margaret-olohan\/\">reflected<\/a> on the media bias against conservatives during an interview with the Daily Caller.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNo matter what Republican administration it is, Republican women are just treated differently by virtue of their party ideology,\u201d McEnany said. \u201cIt\u2019s unfortunate, but if you are a Republican, male or female, you will be attacked particularly in the Trump administration because the media always is keen to demonstrate their innately liberal bias.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><em>The Daily Wire is one of America\u2019s fastest-growing conservative media companies and counter-cultural outlets for news, opinion, and entertainment.
