                             <\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p><span class=\"ArticlePage-articleBody-firstLetter\">H<\/span>Chair of the Oversight Committee <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/james-comer\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">James Comer<\/a> (R-KY), stated the <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/treasury-department\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Treasury Department<\/a> Now, has agreed to turn over suspicious Activity Reports in connection to <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/hunter-biden\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Hunter Biden<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p>Comer conducted an investigation into the business dealings of President <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/joe-biden\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Joe Biden<\/a> The congressman had a son with Chinese businessmen. <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/justice\/comer-subpoenas-bank-records-from-hunter-biden-business-associates\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Subpoenaed financial records<\/a> Three people, Hunter Biden&#8217;s business associate Rob Walker. <\/p>\n<p><b><a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/justice\/comer-subpoenas-bank-records-from-hunter-biden-business-associates\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">HUNTER BIDEN BUSINESS ASSOCIATES BANK RECORDS SUBPOENAED BY TOP RUBICAN<\/a><\/b> <\/p>\n<p>Comer claimed that he had made progress with <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/oversight.house.gov\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/2023-01-11-Treasury.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Requests<\/a> Treasury Secretary <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/janet-yellen\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Janet Yellen<\/a> You are asked to turn over suspicious bank activity reports and Financial Crimes Enforcement Network documents that relate to Walker. <\/p>\n<div class=\"Enhancement\">\n<div class=\"Enhancement-item\">                            <\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p>&#8220;We just got word, Treasury is going to let us have access to the suspicious activity reports,&#8221; Comer stated this while appearing on <i>Hannity<\/i> Monday. &#8220;So, there is still a lot to learn how we are going to receive those, but we&#8217;re moving in a good direction with respect to this investigation.&#8221; <\/p>\n<p>The congressman was <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/justice\/treasury-official-ordered-transcribed-interview-hunter-biden-penalty-perjury\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Demanded that a Treasury Department official appear in a transcribed interview<\/a> Concerning refusing to turn over the reports. <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We&#8217;ve been demanding these for over a year,&#8221; Comer added. &#8220;The Treasury Secretary Yellen said we couldn&#8217;t have them because we were in the minority. When the House flipped she said, \u2018I don&#8217;t understand the purpose for why you need these suspicious activity reports,&#8217; which is a joke. Then we asked for a committee hearing with the person from Treasury that signed the letter declining our most recent invitation. They said they had surgery that day. They offered another person. This person then declined.
