When he called for a school administrator to manage rowdy protesters, he got Tirien Steinbach, Associate Dean of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion \u2014 and she joined the crowd in verbally attacking him.<\/p>\n<p>According to a <a href=\"https:\/\/freebeacon.com\/campus\/stanford-tells-federalist-society-students-to-reach-out-to-diversity-dean-who-encouraged-disruption-of-their-event-and-to-shut-up-on-twitter\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Sunday report<\/a> By the Washington Free Beacon. Stanford Law School Associate Dean Jeanne Merino <a href=\"https:\/\/freebeacon.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/FW-Aftermath-of-Thursdays-Events.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Send an email<\/a> After the event, Merino contacted campus Federalist Society leaders. Merino stated that Federalist Society members expressed concerns about their safety and suggested resources they could use to process the day&#8217;s events.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Dr. Alejandro Martinez, a clinical psychologist with 30+ years at Stanford, is available to counsel students who are not feeling safe,&#8221; Merino wrote. &#8220;He can read social media interactions and direct communications to assess whether the implied or actual threats are likely to become a reality.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Merino suggested that students who are not proficient in English should be taught to read. &#8220;would like support or would like to process last week&#8217;s events&#8221; should reach out to her directly or to other staffers \u2014 including DEI Associate Dean Steinbach.<\/p>\n<p>Jonathan Turley, a George Washington University Law Professor, reacted to the news by saying that it was especially &#8220;tone deaf.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;In what may be the most tone deaf response to an academic scandal in history, Stanford is advising students upset by the canceling of a conservative event that they can &#8220;reach out&#8221; to DEI Dean Tirien Steinbach who condemned the event \u2026&#8221; Turley tweets<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">\u2026It is akin to the Oscars telling Chris Rock that Will Smith is available as an emotional support coach.
