He believes that these boneless wings are chicken nuggets.<\/p>\n<p>Documents obtained from the court <a href=\"https:\/\/wgntv.com\/news\/chicago-news\/chicago-man-files-class-action-suit-against-buffalo-wild-wings-says-boneless-wings-are-just-nuggets\/\">WGN-TV<\/a> Aimen Halim, show plaintiff, filed the complaint against Inspire Brands and the restaurant chain on Friday at the US District Court for Northern Illinois. &#8220;is responsible for the composition, preparation, advertising, marketing and sale of \u2018Buffalo Wild Wings&#8217; product.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;This class action seeks to challenge the false and deceptive marketing and advertising of Buffalo Wild Wings&#8217; Boneless Wings,&#8221; These filings are available. &#8220;Specifically, the name and description of the Products (i.e., as &#8220;Boneless Wings&#8221;) leads reasonable consumers to believe the Products are actually chicken wings. &#8220;<\/p>\n<p>Halim claims that people were led to believe the defendants deboned the chicken wings. This would have meant that they would be entirely composed of chicken wing flesh.<\/p>\n<p>When asked by The Daily Wire for comment, a spokesperson from Buffalo Wild Wings directed The Daily Wire towards a tweet from their official account.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It&#8217;s true,&#8221; This tweet is. &#8220;Our boneless wings are all white meat chicken. Our hamburgers contain no ham. Our buffalo wings are 0% buffalo.&#8221;<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">It&#8217;s true.<br \/>All white meat chicken is used in our boneless wings.<br \/>Our hamburgers contain no ham.<br \/>Our buffalo wings have a buffalo flavor of 0%.<\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Buffalo Wild Wings (@BWWings) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/BWWings\/status\/1635353980489584640?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">March 13, 2023<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>Halim bought boneless wings at a Mount Prospect, Illinois location in January. This was when he claimed that the restaurant had one of its most popular food items.<\/p>\n<p>Plaintiff and other consumers would have paid less for the chicken if they had known the truth, according to the lawsuit.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;As a result, Mr. Halim suffered a financial injury as a result of Defendants&#8217; false and deceptive conduct,&#8221; The lawsuit is here.<\/p>\n<p>In the complaint Halim said that Buffalo Wild Wings was likened to Papa John&#8217;s or Domino&#8217;s, stating that they sell boneless wings and reveal the products are made of white chicken breast meat.<\/p>\n<p>Halim also mentioned a New York Times article in 2009 that detailed the practice of selling bonesless products &#8220;wings&#8221; These wings are not real wings, they are derived from the high-flying cost of chicken wings and the decline in chicken breast prices.<\/p>\n<p>Mike Bell, Buffalo Wild Wings&#8217; purchasing and logistics manager, said that &#8220;basically a whole bunch of [poultry processors] are throwing their hands in the air and saying, \u2018I don&#8217;t know what&#8217;s going on. We&#8217;ve never seen it this way.'&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Prices for a pound of chicken breasts \u2014 boneless and skinless \u2014 dropped nearly a full dollar compared to the rise of bone-in wings in 2020, a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ams.usda.gov\/mnreports\/pywretailchicken.pdf\">USDA National Retail Report<\/a> WGN-TV viewed the demonstration. WGN-TV observed that the prices of boneless and skinless chicken breasts decreased from $3.99 to $3.53 per pound in the last year. While whole wings dropped from $4.29 a pound to $2.30.<\/p>\n<p>Halim is seeking to represent consumers in a class action lawsuit in Illinois and a nationwide class suit. He seeks damages, injunctive relief and restitution.
