Owens was a former police officer, conservative commentator and co-founded BLEXIT.\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/author\/brandon-tatum\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Brandon Tatum<\/a>\u00a0In 2018, both Owens &#038; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tpusa.com\/brandontatum\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Tatum<\/a> TPUSA.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Charlie and I have known each other for a long time. And we&#8217;ve been discussing our shared goals and visions for this country \u2014 to empower people \u2014 to embrace freedom and value faith and family. We both realize that we are stronger together,&#8221; Owens spoke out about the merger. &#8220;By joining together, we believe this will be a force multiplier for both BLEXIT and for TPUSA.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Candace and Brandon are two of the most influential conservative Americans in the country, full stop, and TPUSA is thrilled and honored to be part of their vision for transforming and empowering urban communities,&#8221; Kirk stated this in a statement. &#8220;TPUSA was the incubator for some of the ideas that gave birth to the BLEXIT vision, and we&#8217;ve celebrated from afar what Candace and Brandon have achieved. Now we get to lend some of the resources, staff, and infrastructure that we&#8217;ve built at TPUSA to build on that foundation.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Tatum stated that he is looking forward to the outreach group. &#8220;new direction&#8221; Is it? &#8220;excited about the possibility of new opportunities this could bring to the black community in America.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Since the beginning, BLEXIT has been about reaching more people who need to see themselves as victors, not victims, empowered, not oppressed,&#8221; Tatum also added. &#8220;If just a small fraction of the black community in America catch the vision, we can change the entire country.&#8221;<\/p>\n<div class=\"wp-caption alignnone\">\n<p class=\"wp-caption-text\"><em>Jason Davis\/Getty Images<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>BLEXIT, founded by Owens and\u00a0Tatum\u00a0in 2018, now boasts 44 State Chapters, 14,000-plus volunteer members, and more than 60,000 supporters. BLEXIT was founded by Owens and Tatum to empower minorities to access the U.S. opportunities.
