He was nominated as a Best Supporting Actor Oscar nominee for this role.<\/p>\n<p>Fraser was just a few decades older than DiCaprio but was still a big fan of the young actor.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I think I had just been in \u2018School Ties&#8217; or something then, and I was, like, flummoxed but I just wanted to tell him, \u2018Hear, hear. That was incredible,'&#8221; Fraser explained<em>.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>They met again years later while filming Martin Scorcese&#8217;s. &#8220;Killers of the Flower Moon&#8221; \u2014 which also stars Robert De Niro and is slated for release in May of 2023 \u2014 that Fraser was reminded of that first meeting. He explained that DiCaprio remembered exactly what he had spoken all those years back and he recited it to him.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;He repeated that to me. He remembered me,&#8221; Fraser stated. &#8220;He said, \u2018You were the only guy who didn&#8217;t treat me like a little kid.&#8217; He volunteered that to me.
