Peterson, a psychologist and author, provided an overview of the environmentalist movement today that is almost spiritual in nature.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Tucker Carlson invited Jordan Peterson to join his show Friday to explain what Carlson observed to be a discrepancy \u2014 namely that environmentalism&#8217;s purported goal to save the environment actually does more harm to the environment than good. Peterson confirmed Carlson&#8217;s observation with his observation about Sri Lanka becoming a &#8220;superpower&#8221;. &#8220;wasteland&#8221; How Germany&#8217;s energy is more costly and less reliable. &#8220;idiot hypothetically environmentalist policies.&#8221; He explained then what he believed to be the reason.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>&#8220;But there&#8217;s something that&#8217;s even deeper lying underneath the surface,&#8221; Peterson said this, citing <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/episode\/dr-karl-friston\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span>converging evidence<\/span><\/a><span> From different disciplines. &#8220;The structure through which we see the world is essentially a narrative\u2014a story.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Jordan Peterson: This is an appalling situation and it will get worse\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/-JDTXzynkrs?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" allowfullscreen sandbox=\"allow-scripts allow-same-origin\"  style=\"display:none\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><span>Peterson asked the following question: What is this story? And what are its elements?\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>&#8220;The environmentalists offer us a story to live by and it&#8217;s a pseudo-religious story and it essentially elevates the biosphere, the earth \u2014 Gaia, the earth goddess \u2014 to the status of primary deity and characterizes her as sort of a waif-like innocent victim, easily taken advantage of and fragile. It casts the entire human endeavor on the social front as a raping and pillaging, patriarchal, monster only interested in power. And, it casts the individual as a devouring mouth riding on the back of that giant, essentially.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>This is true to a certain extent.<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/store.dailywire.com\/collections\/books\/products\/12-rules-for-life-an-antidote-to-chaos?_pos=1&#038;_fid=b9fb42232&#038;_ss=c\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span>12 Rules For Life: An Antidote to Chaos<\/span><\/a><span>&#8220;Author granted, explaining how humans can devastate the environment. But that is not the end of the story. &#8220;very incomplete,&#8221; As a result, humans are &#8220;demonized,&#8221; This is &#8220;extraordinarily dangerous.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>The fact that Environmentalism is a religious way of dealing with reality is a sign that it is not a method of dealing with it, is the reason it is called &#8220;Environmentalalism&#8221;. &#8220;odd features.&#8221; Peterson cited the extreme opposition of environmentalists to nuclear power and natural gases as prime examples.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>&#8220;It&#8217;s clearly the case that there&#8217;s nothing that reduces carbon production more effectively than nuclear power,&#8221; Peterson said. &#8220;It&#8217;s also clearly the case that if we were careful with nuclear power \u2026 that we could be providing extremely lost-cost energy to people, especially poor people throughout the world, but we&#8217;re not going to do that.
