This measure could have had a negative impact on the country. <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/cryptocurrency\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Cryptocurrency<\/a> Economy in the state <\/p>\n<p>The legislation, HB1193, was approved by both the Senate and House of Representatives in South Dakota last month. The bill would have defined money as an exchangeable form. &#8220;authorized or adopted by a domestic or foreign government.&#8221; It also said that money could never be used. &#8220;Electronic record&#8221; It was used to exchange money before the government approved it. <\/p>\n<p><b><a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/house\/freedom-caucus-lays-out-debt-ceiling-demands\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">FREEDOM CAUCUS REVEALS DEMANDS AFTER BIDEN BUDGET ELEASED<\/a><\/b> <\/p>\n<p>Noem quickly moved for veto and stated that the legislation could be harmful. <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/south-dakota\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">South Dakota<\/a> Interests of business <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;By expressly excluding cryptocurrencies as money, it would become more difficult to use cryptocurrency,&#8221;<a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/governor.sd.gov\/doc\/HB-1193_Veto-Letter.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> Noem wrote<\/a> in her veto note. &#8220;By needlessly limiting this freedom, HB 1193 would put South Dakota citizens at a business disadvantage.&#8221; <\/p>\n<div class=\"Enhancement\">\n<div class=\"Enhancement-item\">\n<div class=\"TweetEmbed\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">I VETOED HB1193.
