While the social media filters used in the past were quite obvious and sometimes even silly (dog ears being one of the most popular), it&#8217;s a much more subtle approach. The new TikTok filter does not disappear or become distorted if the user turns their head to the side. It claims it can negatively impact TikTok users\u2019 self-esteem as well as self-worth.
