This was after it became clear that he had financial ties the court.<\/p>\n<p>A letter was addressed to Michael Chertoff (ex-secretary of the Department of <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/homeland-security\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Homeland Security<\/a>Senator Sheldon Whitehouse (D\u2013RI) and Rep. Hank Johnson, (D\u2013GA) both pointed out a CNN story that showed Chertoff&#8217;s private risk assessment firm was contracted by the court for security-related analysis in recent years. This raised questions as to whether the firm was able objectively verify the leak investigation. The Supreme Court ruled that no efforts were made to locate the leaker. <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/policy\/courts\/six-questions-scotus-dobbs-leak-report\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">virtually inconclusive<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Chertoff also had financial connections with the court. He was educated at the Ivy League and maintained personal relationships to the justices.
