He has been held in connection to her sudden death.<\/p>\n<p>Kiara Agnew was a traveler to Mexico&#8217;s Caribbean. &#8220;gold coast&#8221; To stay at Playa del Carmen&#8217;s Grand Sunset Princess Resort. Ryan Friesen (26-year-old boyfriend of her) was with her for this adventurous trip. Ryan is a Dawson Creek Canucks junior ice hockey hockey team.<\/p>\n<p>According to The Toronto Star, the couple arrived at the resort March 2. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thestar.com\/news\/canada\/2023\/03\/06\/a-beautiful-person-family-seeks-answers-after-bc-woman-found-dead-in-mexico.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">reported<\/a>. Agnew was dead within days. Mexican police released a statement stating that they had taken Agnew into custody. &#8220;a lifeless woman was found with possible marks of violence in a hotel located in the Xcalacoco neighbourhood.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;She has been counting down to this trip,&#8221; Katlyn, Agnew\u2019s aunt, spoke to the Star. &#8220;It is shocking. We want to know what happened.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;She was a beautiful, wonderful person inside and out. It&#8217;s unfair that she was robbed of her chance to experience life to the fullest,&#8221; Elle added.<\/p>\n<p>Levesque said that her niece was not at risk of being hurt.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We are close in age, we were really close, we grew up together,&#8221; She said. &#8220;We are still waiting on the autopsy results and it is an ongoing investigation so we do not want to speculate.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Agnew was looking forward to this trip, according to her aunt.<\/p>\n<p><b data-stringify-type=\"bold\"><a class=\"c-link c-link--focus-visible\" href=\"https:\/\/onelink.to\/dwapp\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-stringify-link=\"https:\/\/onelink.to\/dwapp\" data-sk=\"tooltip_parent\">CLICK HERE TO GET THE DAILY WIRE APP<\/a><\/b><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Kiara loved travelling. She always wanted to see the Mayan ruins. That was part of their all-inclusive trip. She was really excited about it,&#8221; She spoke to the Star.<\/p>\n<p>Agnew, who had been married for one year and half to her boyfriend, was in danger. She was warned by her aunt that they would be unsafe before she left.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The last thing I said to her was to be safe. You know, don&#8217;t wander around alone, be mindful of your surroundings. Then, I never heard from her,&#8221; Levesque said.<\/p>\n<p>Canada&#8217;s Global Affairs confirmed that Friesen was detained by the Canadian police in connection with this crime.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Officials are providing consular assistance to the families and are in contact with local authorities,&#8221; Star interviewed Charlotte MacLeod as a spokesperson. &#8220;No further information could be disclosed due to privacy considerations.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Levesque <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbc.ca\/news\/canada\/british-columbia\/bc-woman-killed-mexico-1.6768928\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">also said<\/a> The family still awaits an autopsy to determine the cause of her niece&#8217;s death. However, the family was in contact with the boyfriend to express their sympathy.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I know that they&#8217;re hurting too and confused.
