Tsinghua University has a close relationship to TUHS.  <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/media.defense.gov\/2020\/Sep\/01\/2002488689\/-1\/-1\/1\/2020-DOD-CHINA-MILITARY-POWER-REPORT-FINAL.PDF\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">considered<\/a> The Pentagon will be the Chinese military university. <\/p>\n<p><b> <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/justice\/cheat-sheet-top-high-school-collaborated-chinese-military\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">THOMAS JEFFERSON HIGH SCHOOL COLLABORATED WITH CHINESE MILITARY-AFFILIATED ORG<\/a> <\/b> <\/p>\n<p>Parents Defending Education is a non-profit organization. <u> <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/defendinged.org\/investigations\/fairfax-county-public-schools-top-stem-academy-fund-received-over-a-million-dollars-in-funding-from-chinese-organizations-documents-show\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">helped unearth<\/a> <\/u> The Chinese have provided funding for TJHSSTST. Gov. Glenn Youngkin and  <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/virginia\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Virginia attorney general<\/a> According to Washington Examiner letters, Jason Miyares will investigate the story. <\/p>\n<p>Youngkin is being called upon by the PDE &#8220;promptly investigate foreign funding&#8221; To TJHSST &#8220;act swiftly to remedy any unlawful policies and practices.&#8221; They also asked for Miyares &#8220;investigate the relationship between Fairfax County Public Schools, the TJ Partnership Fund, and funding by Chinese government-linked entities.&#8221; <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Our members are concerned about past and current funding streams into the TJ Partnership Fund from foreign entities and the access to school facilities and documents that may have been granted to said parties in exchange,&#8221; PDE informed the Virginia attorney General. <\/p>\n<p>Thomas Jefferson Partnership Fund (TJPF).  <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/justice\/cheat-sheet-top-high-school-collaborated-chinese-military\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">received hundreds of thousands of dollars from Tsinghua University<\/a> As part of the agreement. TJPF was also awarded hundreds of thousands dollars by Ameson Education and Cultural Exchange Foundation. The Chinese company Shirble received the same amount. Both were run by men who are tied to China\u2019s United Front Work Department. It manages Chinese foreign policy campaigns. <\/p>\n<p>TJPF <u> <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.tjpartnershipfund.org\/about\/mission-and-history\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">exists<\/a> <\/u> To support Virginia&#8217;s school and fund <u> <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.tjpartnershipfund.org\/uploaded\/FINAL_20170626_Restated_Bylaws.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">board of directors<\/a> <\/u> <u> <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.tjpartnershipfund.org\/about\/our-team\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">includes<\/a> <\/u> TJ&#8217;s principal, assistant Principal, faculty representatives, as well the head of TJ\u2019s parent teacher association. <\/p>\n<p>Virginia school <u> <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.tjpartnershipfund.org\/uploaded\/photos\/Newsletters\/TJPF_Newsletter_2014_Back-to-School.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">said<\/a> <\/u> TJHSST was established in November 2014. &#8220;will be partnering with&#8221; TUHS, the announced fund &#8220;Tsinghua University made a $300,000 donation.&#8221; Chinese University was nicknamed &#8220;a &#8220;Jefferson Founding Partner.&#8221; According to the TJ Fund, &#8220;Tsinghua University is interested in introducing a specialized STEM track in its network of high schools, including TUHS, and is hoping eventually to establish a Tsinghua International STEM High School in Beijing.&#8221; <\/p>\n<p>TUHS <u> <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20230218023648\/https:\/\/www.qhfz.edu.cn\/xxgk.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">says<\/a> <\/u> It is &#8220;attached&#8221; Tsinghua University, is &#8220;directly under the Ministry of Education.&#8221; TUHS principal <u> <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20230218031839\/https:\/\/www.qhfz.edu.cn\/info\/1022\/18731.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">noted<\/a> <\/u> The school is &#8220;under the guidance&#8221; CCP and TUHS leaders also include CCP officials. The advisory board for TUHS International is also available. <u> <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20221028131231\/http:\/\/www.this.edu.cn\/en\/advisory-board\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">includes<\/a> <\/u> Mao Daqing is part of &#8220;United Front Work Department of CCP Central Committee.&#8221; <\/p>\n<p>The TJ fund as well as the Chinese military-linked highschool have repeatedly written about the visits TJ faculty made at TUHS, and those TJ and Tsinghua University professors made to Virginia schools. TJ fund  <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.tjpartnershipfund.org\/uploaded\/photos\/Newsletters\/TJPF_Newsletter_Spring_2015.pdf\">said<\/a> That was March 2015. &#8220;Tsinghua Faculty learns the TJ way.&#8221; TUHS  <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20220122081456\/https:\/\/en.qhfz.edu.cn\/Student_Life\/Office_of_Science___Technology.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">says<\/a> It &#8220;cooperated&#8221; TJHSST &#8220;whose high-end laboratory systems were introduced to TUHS.&#8221; <\/p>\n<p>Ameson was also <u> <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.tjpartnershipfund.org\/uploaded\/photos\/Newsletters\/TJPF_Newsletter_2015_Back-to-School.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">named<\/a> <\/u> The following are some of the &#8220;Jefferson Founding Partners &#038; International Partners&#8221; In 2015, a $250,000 donation or more was acceptable. <u> <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.tjpartnershipfund.org\/uploaded\/photos\/Newsletters\/TJPF_Newsletter_2016_Back-to-School.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">similar donation<\/a> <\/u>.
