Permitting concealed carry nearly anywhere without a permit<\/b> <\/p>\n<p>DeSantis indicated since December that she would be pushing for a legislative amendment. &#8220;constitutional carry&#8221; One of his highest legislative priorities would be a law that allows gun owners to conceal-carry without the need for a permit. <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;This was something that I&#8217;ve always supported,&#8221; He stated that December was the best month for him to speak. <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.tampabay.com\/news\/florida-politics\/2022\/12\/16\/permitless-carry-constitutional-carry-gun-law-desantis-renner\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">according to<\/a> The <i>Tampa Bay Times<\/i>. &#8220;It&#8217;ll be something that will be done in the regular session.&#8221; <\/p>\n<p>Florida could become the 26th State to permit carry without permits if it is successful. <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcnews.com\/politics\/politics-news\/permitless-concealed-carry-may-soon-legal-states-rcna64947\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">according to<\/a> ABC News. <\/p>\n<p><b>2. Universities should also be pushing for diversity initiatives<\/b> <\/p>\n<p>The Florida Board of Governors would have greater authority over schools and universities. It could force the Florida Board of Governors to eliminate classes in critical race theory and gender studies, as well as any support programs. DeSantis implicitly supports the bill. <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;In Florida, we will build off of our higher education reforms by aligning core curriculum to the values of liberty and the Western tradition, eliminating politicized bureaucracies like DEI, increasing the amount of research dollars for programs that will feed key industries with talented Florida students, and empowering presidents and boards of trustees to recruit and hire new faculty, including by dedicating record resources for faculty salaries,&#8221; DeSantis spoke out in a Jan. 31 interview <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.flgov.com\/2023\/01\/31\/governor-desantis-elevates-civil-discourse-and-intellectual-freedom-in-higher-education\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">press release<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p><b>3.
