The law would have required bloggers to register with either the Florida Office of Legislative Services, or the Commission on Ethics. The bill would require them to report monthly on who is paying them. <\/p>\n<p>The bill defines blogs as &#8220;a website or webpage that hosts any bloggers and is frequently updated with opinion, commentary, or business content.&#8221; A $25 per day fine and a $2,500 maximum for each post could be imposed if you fail to register. The law applies to state legislators, governors&#8217; Cabinet members, and bloggers. <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Paid bloggers are lobbyists who write instead of talk. They both are professional electioneers.
