Carlson might draw on the footage McCarthy provided for both programs.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_4967090\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/localimages\/GettyImages-1442331995-Large-1200x850.jpeg\"><figcaption><\/figcaption><\/a> Tucker Carlson, Fox News&#8217; host, speaks at the 2022 FOXN Patriot Awards, Hollywood, Fla. on November 17, 2022. (Jason Koerner\/Getty Images)<\/figure>\n<p>The Jan. 6, 2017 panel presented a story of events during the previous Congress that depicted the Capitol breach and the culmination of months-long efforts by Trump&#8217;s supporters to overthrow America&#8217;s government.<\/p>\n<p>Notably, the panel formed by a majority party-line vote. It included two Republicans, former Reps. Liz Cheney and Adam Kinzinger (R-Ill.). Adam Kinzinger (R.Ill.) and Liz Cheney (R.Wyo.), two fervent Trump critics.<\/p>\n<p>The narrative used by the panel to judge the president was unfairly biased.<\/p>\n<p>Carlson is often critical of the narrative on his television show.<\/p>\n<p>Carlson dismissed Jan. 6, in the past. &#8220;outbreak of mob violence, a forgettably minor outbreak by recent standards.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>McConnell has, however, largely rubber-stamped Jan. 6&#8217;s official narrative, leading to disagreements within his party about the matter.<\/p>\n<p>Carlson broadcast the Jan. 6, unreleased footage on March 6. He concluded that Jan. 6&#8217;s true events were very different to what the committee had claimed.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Taken as a whole, the video record does not support the claim that January 6 was an insurrection,&#8221; Carlson stated. &#8220;In fact, it demolishes that claim.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Later, McConnell, the Senate GOP Leader was asked whether it was. &#8220;mistake&#8221; McCarthy should give Carlson the video footage.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;My concern is how it was depicted,&#8221; McConnell was ambivalent. &#8220;which is a different issue.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Clearly the chief of the Capitol Police, in my view, correctly describes what most of us witnessed firsthand on January 6,&#8221; McConnell stated, citing the letter of Chief Steven Manger from U.S. Capitol Police. This was after Carlson&#8217;s segment.<\/p>\n<p>Manger claimed that it was an accident. &#8220;offensive and misleading\u00a0conclusions about the January 6 attack.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>McConnell said that Manger is correct when he was asked about it.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It was a mistake in my view for Fox News to depict this in a way that&#8217;s completely at variance with what our chief law enforcement official here at the Capitol thinks,&#8221; McConnell said.<\/p>\n<h2>These are the Findings<\/h2>\n<p>Carlson broadcast his first segment with the footage he had just released on March 6.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Virtually no one in Washington, D.C., Republican or Democrat, wanted these tapes released tonight,&#8221; Carlson made the statement in kickoff for the explosive segment.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Democrats in Congress, assisted by [Reps. Adam Kinzinger (D-Ill.) and Liz Cheney (R-Wyo.)], lied about what happened that day,&#8221; He went on.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;They are liars,&#8221; He stressed. &#8220;That fact should prevent them from ever being taken seriously again.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>These are the videos that people haven\u2019t seen &#8220;paint a very different picture of what happened that day&#8221; Carlson stated, &#8220;Compared to the narrative from Jan.6 panel,&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;By controlling the images you could see from January 6, they controlled how the public understood that day.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Carlson claimed that the USCP found very little fault in Carlson&#8217;s footage, despite warnings from the left about impending disaster if Carlson releases the tapes. Carlson stated that the Capitol Police requested only blurring the details on a single door.<\/p>\n<p>You can find the &#8220;enormous crowd&#8221; Carlson stated that the Capitol was entered that day. &#8220;only a few were hooligans&#8221; Who committed violent or illegal acts.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;These were not insurrectionists\u2014they were sightseers,&#8221; Carlson stated. &#8220;Protestors queue up in neat little lines; they give each other tours outside the speaker&#8217;s office; they take cheerful selfies, and they smile. They&#8217;re not destroying the Capitol: they obviously revere the Capitol.
