Wade<\/i>. <\/p>\n<p>These women claim that abortion was denied to them despite the possibility of bleeding or a life-threatening infection during their pregnancy. They are asking the court for clarification on what exemptions the state allows under its abortion laws. <\/p>\n<p><b><a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/policy\/healthcare\/gavin-newsom-california-walgreens-abortion-pill\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">NEWSOM SAYS CALIFORNIA WILL CUT TIES WITH WALGREENS OVER ABORTION PILL STANCE<\/a><\/b> <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The lawsuit aims to hold the state of Texas accountable for the consequences of multiple harmful abortion bans on pregnant people facing obstetric complications,&#8221; <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/ReproRights\/status\/1632935925364793344\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">tweeted<\/a> The Center for Reproductive Rights represents the women involved in this case. <\/p>\n<p>Texas prohibits all forms of abortion during pregnancy. But exceptions may be granted if the mother is willing to have an abortion. &#8220;has a life-threatening physical condition aggravated, caused by, or arising from a pregnancy that places the female at risk of death or poses a serious risk of substantial impairment of a major bodily function,&#8221; <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/texasattorneygeneral.gov\/sites\/default\/files\/images\/executive-management\/Updated%20Post-Roe%20Advisory%20Upon%20Issuance%20of%20Dobbs%20Judgment%20(07.27.2022).pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">according to<\/a> The law of the state. <\/p>\n<p>Amanda Zurawski is one of the plaintiffs in this lawsuit. She had her water cut when she was 17-weeks pregnant, but doctors refused to induce labor due to Texas&#8217;s abortion laws.
