The Daily Mail reports that the migrant was deported several times prior to his death.\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailymail.co.uk\/news\/article-11723489\/Mexican-migrant-shot-dead-Arizona-rancher-George-Alan-Kelly-pictured.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">reported<\/a>This was most recently seen in 2016.<\/p>\n<p>A judge late last month <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/us\/arizona-rancher-george-alan-kelly-murder-charge-downgraded-second-degree-shooting-mexican-man\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">announced<\/a> It was decided that the murder charge would now be reduced to second degree. Kelly, according to the New York Post, pleaded not guilty at his arraignment on Monday. <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2023\/03\/06\/arizona-rancher-arraigned-in-mexican-mans-shooting-death\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">reported<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Kelly was scheduled to stand trial on September 6. Judge Thomas Fink granted Kelly&#8217;s request for a two month extension in order to speak with her experts. Kelly also requested an additional search warrant, which was executed on Kelly&#8217;s property.<\/p>\n<p>The Daily Wire was informed by Larkin that although she could not comment on the matter to the media, she did tell The Daily Wire. &#8220;we cannot try this case in the press, or in any place that is outside of the courtroom,&#8221; That is where the defense lies &#8220;confident that Mr. Kelly is an innocent man, based on his long history of law-abiding behavior, and based on the uncontroverted facts of this case.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Kelly was freed on February 24, after posting a bond of $1 million. Kelly&#8217;s defense claims that he fired only warning shots with his guns into the air, and not at anyone. <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2023\/02\/22\/george-alan-kelly-being-framed-for-murder-by-traffickers\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">reported<\/a>. Kelly reportedly said this to investigators. He claimed that Cuen-Butimea was found dead on Kelly&#8217;s property while checking on his horse.
