It noted that Randolph was among many lawsuits against Gascon accusing Gascon office of retaliation.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;<span class=\"css-901oao css-16my406 r-poiln3 r-bcqeeo r-qvutc0\">BREAKING: A Los Angeles jury has just awarded prosecutor Shawn Randolph $1.5 million after she sued DA <\/span><span class=\"r-18u37iz\">@GeorgeGascon<\/span><span class=\"css-901oao css-16my406 r-poiln3 r-bcqeeo r-qvutc0\">, alleging retaliation &#038; punitive transfer after speaking out against his policies. This statement left room for future appeals.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We are disappointed by the jury&#8217;s verdict, and stand by our decision to reassign this and other attorneys to new positions within the office,&#8221; Gascon&#8217;s Office issued a statement. &#8220;As any manager will tell you, moving around personnel in order to improve the level of representation this community receives is absolutely critical to a functioning office.
