Delaney is being criticized for unmasking victims of sexual assault.<\/span><\/p>\n<div>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/winred.tomcotton.com\/tom-cotton\/claim-yours-ots-fbeacon-ads-30?utm_source=rc&#038;utm_medium=fbeaconads&#038;utm_campaign=2023marchots\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> \t\t\t\t \t\t\t<\/a> \t\t<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/winred.tomcotton.com\/tom-cotton\/claim-yours-ots-fbeacon-ads-30?utm_source=rc&#038;utm_medium=fbeaconads&#038;utm_campaign=2023marchots\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> \t\t\t\t \t\t\t<\/a> \t\t<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p><span>Shaheen and Maggie Hassan, a senator from New Hampshire, introduced Delaney into the Senate Judiciary Committee. &#8220;moving forward&#8221; With his nomination according to <\/span><em><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/marianne_levine\/status\/1632865528808185862?s=51&#038;t=cVRrOEC7HqoeeefgDh4iIA\"><span>Politico<\/span><\/a><\/em>.<\/p>\n<p><span>In a lawsuit brought by Chessy Prout (a student at St. Paul&#8217;s School, New Hampshire), Delaney represented St. Paul&#8217;s School. Prout sought anonymity at the civil trial. Delaney opposed this motion.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Prout and Republicans protested his conduct at the trial. Prout was supported in the past by his family.<\/span><span> Shaheen and Hassan applauded Delaney. &#8220;commitment to justice&#8221; He introduced him to Senate Judiciary Committee in a note. Shaheen indicated Monday Delaney would receive an &#8220;excellent judge,&#8221; According to <em>Politico<\/em>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Senate Majority Leader Senator Dick Durbin (D. Ill.), was less direct when being asked Monday about Delaney. <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/sahilkapur\/status\/1632877090633547776\"><span>telling reporters,<\/span><\/a><span> &#8220;There have been some important issues raised.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>&#8220;I think he needs to be treated fairly,&#8221; Durbin stated. &#8220;Let&#8217;s wait and see.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>The current Senate dynamics make it difficult for Democrats to find a balance with the judicial nominees. Senator Dianne Feinstein (D. Calif.), which raised concerns regarding Delaney&#8217;s health, is currently being treated in her own state for shingles. After being treated for depression at Walter Reed Hospital, Sen. John Fetterman (D. Pa.) has also been reported missing.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>No hearings have been scheduled by the Senate Judiciary Committee for March judicial nominees. Chessy Prout wrote an opinion piece in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bostonglobe.com\/2023\/02\/23\/opinion\/i-know-michael-delaney-after-what-he-did-he-doesnt-deserve-be-judge\/\">the <em>Boston Globe<\/em><\/a> Initial publication: &#8220;I know Michael Delaney.
