The filing by Musk's attorneys notes he has laid off about 1,000 residents in the San Francisco area from Twitter since he purchased the company last October. The lawsuit stems from tweets made by Musk back in August 2018\u2026 when he said he had sufficient financing to take Tesla private at $420 a share. This bill is in state Senate waiting for a complete vote.<\/p>\n<p>After an investigation by Huffman, Huffman sponsored this legislation. <i> <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.propublica.org\/article\/texas-guns-background-checks-juvenile\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ProPublica<\/a>  <\/i>And the <i> <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.texastribune.org\/2023\/03\/06\/texas-gun-background-check-juvenile-mental-health\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Texas Tribune<\/a>  <\/i>It was shown that juveniles had been excluded from the national firearms background checking system. Elliott Naishtat (ex-state lawmaker) was the author of the 2009 law. He stated that the law would apply to everyone regardless of their age. However, the law was not applicable to all Texans after the massacre in May 2022.  <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/uvalde-school-shooting\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Uvalde<\/a> The outlets discovered that juvenile information was not shared by local courts.<\/p>\n<p>These investigations led to the  <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.txcourts.gov\/media\/1455007\/2022_criminal-justice-report-recommendations.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Texas Judicial Council<\/a> Ask legislators for clarification on reporting requirements for juveniles.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Texas does not have a centralized source for statewide mental health adjudication information in juvenile cases,&#8221; TJC stated in their 2022 report that National Instant Criminal Background Check System contacts would be required &#8220;each of the more than 450 district clerks and county clerks in the state&#8221; You can create an exhaustive list.<\/p>\n<p>Congress approved gun reform legislation last June that required federal investigators look into the state data bases for records relating to juvenile mental health.
