Murdaugh was accused of trying to draw sympathy from the public in order to avoid having his crimes and reputation destroyed. The trial was a success. <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/policy\/courts\/alex-murdaugh-trial-jury-visit-home-crime-scene\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">defense presented<\/a> He was a man of family, whose life is shattered by the death of his son and wife. <\/p>\n<p>The jury did not accept Murdaugh\u2019s testimony, or any of his emotional displays throughout the trial. <\/p>\n<p>Stand for it &#8220;was his closing argument to the jury,&#8221; Wilson stated. &#8220;I believe in my mind that he believed that he could talk his way out of this.
