Emails obtained by House Republicans reveal that this revelation comes at a time when multiple federal agencies support the lab-leak theory.<\/p>\n<div>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/winred.tomcotton.com\/tom-cotton\/claim-yours-ots-fbeacon-ads-30?utm_source=rc&#038;utm_medium=fbeaconads&#038;utm_campaign=2023marchots\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> \t\t\t\t \t\t\t<\/a> \t\t<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/winred.tomcotton.com\/tom-cotton\/claim-yours-ots-fbeacon-ads-30?utm_source=rc&#038;utm_medium=fbeaconads&#038;utm_campaign=2023marchots\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> \t\t\t\t \t\t\t<\/a> \t\t<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Fauci referenced the paper, entitled &#8220;The Proximal Origin of SARS-CoV-2,&#8221; At a White House press conference held on April 17, 2020, he claimed to not be familiar with the authors. He called the authors on February 2020, to review new evidence that the pandemic was caused by a leak at China\u2019s Wuhan Institute of Virology. Fauci was sent the paper by the authors, which stated that COVID probably emerged as an animal-to human infection. Fauci had to make edits prior to publication. <i>New York Post<\/i> <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2023\/03\/05\/new-emails-show-fauci-commissioned-paper-to-disprove-wuhan-lab-leak-theory\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">reported<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;There was a study recently that we can make available to you, where a group of highly qualified evolutionary virologists looked at the sequences \u2026 in bats as they evolve. And the mutations that [the COVID virus] took to get to the point where it is now is totally consistent with a jump of a species from an animal to a human,&#8221; During the conference, Fauci spoke.<\/p>\n<p>He stated that he had not &#8220;have the authors right now&#8221; But he would send the paper to journalists.<\/p>\n<p>The Energy Department&#8217;s cover-up news comes one week after it was announced. <a href=\"https:\/\/freebeacon.com\/latest-news\/report-covid-likely-emerged-from-lab-leak-energy-dept-says\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">concluded<\/a> It is likely that the Wuhan laboratory was the source of the virus. FBI also <a href=\"https:\/\/freebeacon.com\/coronavirus\/fbi-says-it-has-long-known-most-likely-covid-cause-was-lab-leak\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">said<\/a> It has known for a long time that &#8220;most likely&#8221; The Chinese laboratory was the source of the coronavirus.<\/p>\n<p>These revelations raise questions about the actions of Fauci during the pandemic.<\/p>\n<div>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/winred.tomcotton.com\/tom-cotton\/illegals-voting-beacon-ads?utm_source=rc&#038;utm_medium=fbeaconads&#038;utm_campaign=202303dcvoting\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> \t\t\t\t \t\t\t<\/a> \t\t<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/winred.tomcotton.com\/tom-cotton\/illegals-voting-beacon-ads?utm_source=rc&#038;utm_medium=fbeaconads&#038;utm_campaign=202303dcvoting\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> \t\t\t\t \t\t\t<\/a> \t\t<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Federal investigators January <a href=\"https:\/\/freebeacon.com\/latest-news\/federal-investigators-issue-damning-report-over-faucis-lax-oversight-of-wuhan-coronavirus-research\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">issued<\/a> Fauci and his colleagues were accused of making grave errors in their oversight of bat research by the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, which was funded by EcoHealth Alliance.
