To ensure that recipients receive their checks by the end of the month and not on holidays or weekends, the administration will release the monthly SSI check on the last day of every month. <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ssa.gov\/kc\/rp_paybenefits.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">per the agency<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p>In this way, recipients may receive two different checks each year for the same month. Beneficiaries still receive 12 checks each year. <\/p>\n<p>For couples who are eligible, the monthly rate is <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ssa.gov\/oact\/cola\/SSI.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">payments<\/a> It is $1,371.
