And personally he is against abortion,\u201d Ratzinger told the newspaper. \u201cBut as president, he tends to present himself in continuity with the line of the Democratic Party. \u2026 And on gender politics we have not yet understood what his position is.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Just days into his term, Biden signed an executive order reversing the Trump administration\u2019s \u201cMexico City policy,\u201d known as the \u201cglobal gag rule\u201d by abortion providers, allowing non-government organizations that provide abortions overseas access to American taxpayer funding. He also ended a Trump-era prohibition on abortion providers receding access to government grants under Title X.<\/p>\n<p>The United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB), one of the highest Catholic authorities in America, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/vatican-chicago-cardinal-push-back-on-catholic-bishops-statement-warning-bidens-agenda-would-advance-moral-evils\">warned<\/a> Catholics that the Biden administration\u2019s policy priorities\u00a0could \u201cadvance moral evils.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMr. Biden\u2019s piety and personal story, his moving witness to how his faith has brought him solace in times of darkness and tragedy, his longstanding commitment to the Gospel\u2019s priority for the poor \u2014 all of this I find hopeful and inspiring,\u201d Archbishop Jose Gomez, president of the USCCB, wrote.<\/p>\n<p>The archbishop added, \u201cI must point out that our new President has pledged to pursue certain policies that would advance moral evils and threaten human life and dignity, most seriously in the areas of abortion, contraception, marriage, and gender.
