Many motorists were left stranded due to the cold and many abandoned vehicles littering the roads.<\/p>\n<p>A pair of heroes from Washington State pulled twenty motorists out of a snowstorm on February 22, 2012.<\/p>\n<p>Alec Higley (27-year-old Uber driver from La Center) was on his way to pick up a customer when he became stuck in traffic at Columbia Boulevard, just off of 82nd Avenue.<\/p>\n<p>Many found it difficult to drive because of the deep ruts on the icy roads.<\/p>\n<p>He then called Jonathon Gilbert (27) who was his best friend ever since kindergarten. He even brought food!&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Higley was stuck for seven hours when Gilbert, his Pathfinder driver arrived at 11:11 p.m.<\/p>\n<p>After grabbing his tow ropes, he began helping to haul Higley\u2019s Tesla 3 away. He was quick to get the job done.<\/p>\n<p>Seeing all of the <em>Others<\/em> They decided to help stranded motorists and decided to stay. Gilbert claimed that Gilbert didn&#8217;t need to live somewhere important.<\/p>\n<p><em>(Courtesy o <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/alec.higley\">Alec Higley<\/a>)<\/em><\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_5097082\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/localimages\/man-helped-free-friend-and-other-drivers-from-icy-road-8-1200x1600.jpg\"><figcaption><\/figcaption><\/a> Gilbert fastens his straps for helping to pull a stuck driver on the icy roads.\u00a0(Courtesy Of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/alec.higley\">Alec Higley<\/a>)<\/figure>\n<p>&#8220;He proceeded to tow over 20 cars,&#8221;\u00a0Higley spoke. &#8220;[He] even attempted to pull the semi-truck up the hill and managed to move it enough to open the off ramp and clear the highway to dozens of other vehicles that had been waiting to get through for hours.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Gilbert is naturally drawn to helping his community.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I believe that if you have the capacity to help someone you should do it,&#8221;\u00a0He told the newspaper. &#8220;I&#8217;m also a 4\u00d74 enthusiast.
