This includes high-mobility mortar systems and anti-vehicle round rounds.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Pursuant to a delegation of authority from President [Joe] Biden, I am authorizing our 33rd drawdown of U.S. arms and equipment for Ukraine since August 2021, valued at $400 million,&#8221; Antony Blinken was Secretary of State. &#8220;This military assistance package includes more ammunition for U.S.-provided HIMARS and howitzers, which Ukraine is using so effectively to defend itself.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Mobile rocket-launching platforms called HIMARS cost approximately $4,000,000 per unit, and each rocket costs around $168,000. The Biden administration has donated 20 of these vehicles\u2014manufactured by Lockheed Martin\u2014to the Ukrainian military since the start of the war.<\/p>\n<p>Biden sent <a href=\"https:\/\/www.csis.org\/analysis\/expanding-equipment-options-ukraine-case-artillery\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">143 howitzers<\/a>\u2014big artillery guns reminiscent of World War II\u2014to Ukraine at a per-unit cost of around $5 million.<\/p>\n<p>The package also includes equipment for clearing obstacles and demolition munitions.
