Byron Donalds (R. Fla.) stated that the Republican-led House of Representatives would not hesitate to hold federal officials responsible for any abuses of government power.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;What we&#8217;ve always committed to is that we&#8217;re going to investigate every section of the federal government that warrants it,&#8221; Donalds talked to NTD News, The Epoch Times sister outlet while attending the Conservative Political Action Conference, (CPAC), in Washington on March 2.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Accountability is here,&#8221; He added. &#8220;Now, what the next steps are\u2014the evidence is going to have to take that.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Donalds pointed to Donald Trump&#8217;s former president as an example and stated that the Democrats would not allow it. &#8220;detrimental to the country&#8221; It would be a good idea if Republicans were to start targeting people for investigation because of their political opinions rather than the evidence.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We want the facts speak for themselves,&#8221; He said. &#8220;So, at the Department of Justice, how was the order given to target parents just trying to advocate for their children&#8217;s schooling? What about people who are pro-life advocates who are using their First Amendment rights to assemble and to speak? Why are they being targeted and people being brought up on charges?
