They argue in a new ad that it&#8217;s Democrats who are cutting benefits for seniors.<\/span><\/p>\n<div>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/winred.tomcotton.com\/tom-cotton\/claim-yours-ots-fbeacon-ads-30?utm_source=rc&#038;utm_medium=fbeaconads&#038;utm_campaign=2023marchots\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> \t\t\t\t \t\t\t<\/a> \t\t<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/winred.tomcotton.com\/tom-cotton\/claim-yours-ots-fbeacon-ads-30?utm_source=rc&#038;utm_medium=fbeaconads&#038;utm_campaign=2023marchots\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> \t\t\t\t \t\t\t<\/a> \t\t<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p><span>American Action Network is an outside spending group affiliated with House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R. Calif.). The $2 million effort was launched Wednesday. Biden is accused of lying in the ads that will be run in 14 congressional districts. &#8220;breaking his promise to 30 million seniors&#8221; by proposing cuts in Medicare Advantage&#8217;s benefit, a private option to Medicare. The Biden administration in February proposed changes to Medicare Advantage&#8217;s payment policies\u2014changes that would cost seniors $540 a year in benefits, according to one <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/bettermedicarealliance.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/20230214_Advance-Notice-Impact_Final.pdf\"><span>study<\/span><\/a><span>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Just weeks after Biden&#8217;s Feb. 7 State of the Union speech, the ad campaign was launched &#8220;some Republicans&#8221; You are not enough &#8220;Social Security and Medicare to sunset,&#8221; This line prompted McCarthy and other members of his party to live-push back. It also shows that Republicans intend to take the fight against benefit cuts to Biden. McCarthy and other Republican leaders have long refuted President Trump&#8217;s accusations that they want Medicare and Social Security to be cut. Wednesday&#8217;s ad campaign goes one step further. Republicans are now trying to pin benefits cuts on Democrats.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>&#8220;Joe Biden and his liberal friends in Congress are talking out of both sides of their mouth: promising to protect Medicare while pushing benefit cuts for seniors,&#8221; American Action Network President Dan Conston stated in a statement. &#8220;Each and every liberal in Congress needs to speak out now and stop Biden&#8217;s cuts to Medicare benefits before it&#8217;s too late.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<div>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/winred.tomcotton.com\/tom-cotton\/illegals-voting-beacon-ads?utm_source=rc&#038;utm_medium=fbeaconads&#038;utm_campaign=202303dcvoting\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> \t\t\t\t \t\t\t<\/a> \t\t<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/winred.tomcotton.com\/tom-cotton\/illegals-voting-beacon-ads?utm_source=rc&#038;utm_medium=fbeaconads&#038;utm_campaign=202303dcvoting\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> \t\t\t\t \t\t\t<\/a> \t\t<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p><span>The White House will likely push back on the network&#8217;s offensive on benefit cuts.
