In a civil suit filed against St. Paul&#8217;s School, Delaney represented the elite school. He claimed that the school promoted a culture of harassment and led to Chessy Prout&#8217;s statutory rape at the age of 15. Delaney opposed the Prout&#8217;s request to keep their daughter&#8217;s identity anonymous during the proceedings.<\/p>\n<p>Prout and her parents are now together <a href=\"https:\/\/freebeacon.com\/biden-administration\/utter-silence-biden-judicial-nominee-pushed-to-unmask-a-sexual-assault-victims-identity-her-parents-want-to-know-why-democrats-wont-speak-out-against-him\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">begging<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.boston.com\/news\/politics\/2023\/02\/27\/chessy-prout-st-pauls-school-michael-delaney-federal-appeals-nominee\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Democrats<\/a> Delaney should be renominated. He is an awkward nominee for a party which claims to support the interests women and victims.<\/p>\n<p>Most Democrats are keeping their mouths shut\u20149 of the 11 Democrats on the Senate Judiciary Committee didn&#8217;t even show up for Delaney&#8217;s hearing last month before the committee. New Hampshire Democratic senators Maggie Hassan, Jeanne Shaheen however, disagree. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.shaheen.senate.gov\/news\/press\/shaheen-hassan-applaud-nomination-of-michael-delaney-to-the-first-circuit-us-court-of-appeals\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Have been lauded<\/a> His &#8220;meaningful service to our communities&#8221; And &#8220;commitment to justice.&#8221; Shaheen was seven years old, proving that politicians will actually say anything. <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/senatorshaheen\/status\/770642752577101824\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">praising Prout<\/a> You can also use it as a &#8220;remarkable, brave young woman&#8221; And thanking her for speaking up.<\/p>\n<p>However, we are pleased that some Democrats may now be reaffirming our long-held view of lawyers for the scum on the earth being held responsible for the unscrupulous clients they choose to represent. This seemed to be the gist of the long list of questions Senator Dianne Feinstein (D. Calif.) asked Delaney. She wanted to know how many youth organizations and educational institutions he represented. &#8220;instances of misconduct experienced by students.&#8221; (The answer: 33.) She also had questions about his tactics.<\/p>\n<p>Two decades ago, Democrats such as Feinstein were shocked when conservatives claimed that lawyers like Neal Katyal who had volunteered his services for al Qaeda detainees were not fit to serve in the Justice Department. Overnight, every Democrat was reminiscing about John Adams and Boston Massacre.
