It is funny how the Post reacted. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/opinions\/2022\/06\/24\/overturning-roe-dangerous-era\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">This didn&#8217;t work<\/a> Its sudden desire to limit judicial supremacy to the court&#8217;s rulings in <em>Dobbs v. Jackson Women&#8217;s Health Organization<\/em>The judicial activism shown in was reversed by the <em>Roe v. Wade<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Biden&#8217;s stewardship <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/opinions\/2023\/03\/01\/student-loans-supreme-court-biden-debt\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Proposal<\/a>A borrower who earns up to $125,000 per annum would have $10,000 in student loans &#8220;forgiven,&#8221; Pell Grant recipients will get $20,000 waived Leftists are advocates for &#8220;student-loan forgiveness,&#8221; What they really mean is that they want the government take the responsibility for loan repayments from the person who signed it to American taxpayers. <\/p>\n<p>The Post&#8217;s editorial board continued to assert that those who challenged Biden&#8217;s policies were not being truthful. &#8220;lack standing,&#8221; or the right to sue. A refusal by SCOTUS dismissing legal challenges to the scheme&#8217;s operation would be a violation. &#8220;the court resemble a body of nine unelected legislators,&#8221; The board&#8217;s August view of the proposal was not reflected in the op\/ed. <\/p>\n<p>The Post&#8217;s editors published a piece entitled &#8220;The Post&#8217;s Editors Announced the Plan&#8221; shortly after Biden had announced it.<a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/opinions\/2022\/08\/24\/biden-student-loan-forgiveness-mistake\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Biden&#8217;s announcement about student loans is an expensive, regressive error<\/a>&#8220;In which they referred back to the policy as &#8220;ill-conceived and misdirected.&#8221; <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Widely canceling student loan debt is regressive. It takes money from the broader tax base, mostly made up of workers who did not go to college, to subsidize the education debt of people with valuable degrees,&#8221; The board was accepted. &#8220;Mr. Biden&#8217;s student loan decision will not do enough to help the most vulnerable Americans. It will, however, provide a windfall for those who don&#8217;t need it \u2014 with American taxpayers footing the bill.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>(Prior <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2022\/04\/29\/america-isnt-responsible-for-my-student-loans-i-am\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Analyses<\/a> Research has shown that student loan bailouts have a disproportionate benefit for Americans who hold high-paying degrees like those in medicine and law.<\/p>\n<p>Even if the board&#8217;s apparent newfound concern for judicial activism were true in this case \u2014which, given the <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2022\/10\/19\/lawsuit-offers-scotus-a-chance-to-smack-down-bidens-unconstitutional-student-loan-bailout\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">phony rationale<\/a> the administration used to justify the policy, it&#8217;s not \u2014 it doesn&#8217;t change the fact that such a policy would force American taxpayers to pay off the debt of wealthy college grads. So, why is there a sudden shift in opinion?<\/p>\n<p>Public polling could provide one explanation.
