Never! It&#8217;s not something readers might be aware of, but it has become very common for those in control of America&#8217;s books to retroactively delete narratives and offensive words, and take away awards. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.azcentral.com\/story\/life\/nation-now\/2018\/06\/25\/laura-ingalls-wilder-award-renamed-racial-stereotypes\/731651002\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">They deem racist authors<\/a>. Publishers and special-interest groups have been trying to adapt older writings for more than 100 years.<\/p>\n<p>How many other beloved books were bowdlerized, then reissued in the name of the public? Here are some classics that survived Orwellian murder. <\/p>\n<p> James Bond Series <\/p>\n<p>Ian Fleming&#8217;s spy series featuring 007 has been hit hard by Ian Fleming Publications announcing that some of Fleming\u2019s novels would be retroactively edited. &#8220;racist&#8221; descriptors taken out of the books &#8220;terms that are more accepted today.&#8221; The company intends to eliminate black characters from some books<a href=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20230225235023\/https:\/\/www.telegraph.co.uk\/books\/news\/publishings-imagination-police-sensitivity-readers-ruining-literature\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"> All together<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The newly censored literary works will be available on April 1st.
