It seems that is the question many inside The Beltway don&#8217;t want you asking \u2014 especially FBI Director Christopher Wray, based on his comments Tuesday afternoon.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;So here you&#8217;re talking about a potential leak from a Chinese government-controlled lab that killed millions of Americans,&#8221; Wray <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/declassify-the-intelligence-hawley-is-right-covid-origins-info-should-be-released-to-public\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Submitted<\/a> Bret Baier, Fox News, discusses his agency&#8217;s assessment of COVID&#8217;s origins in Wuhan (China).<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I will just make the observation that the Chinese government, it seems to me, has been doing its best to try to thwart and obfuscate the work,&#8221; He added that COVID origins are also important.<\/p>\n<p>Wray seems to be blaming the pandemic only on the Chinese government, and its Wuhan Institute of Virology. Based on all evidence, the Chinese Communist Party, (CCP), is indeed worthy of criticism.<\/p>\n<p>Wray did not just implicate the Wuhan Institute of Virology, (WIV). &#8220;controlled&#8221; The CCP does not mean that leakers in the United States can be blamed entirely on the CCP.<\/p>\n<p>Based on data from a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/federal-watchdog-slams-faucis-agency-and-ecohealth-over-deal-with-wuhan-lab\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">A recent report was published by an internal federal watchdog<\/a>The United States of America, with its bureaucratic maze of pathogenic requirements and lackadaisical oversight, could also be responsible.<\/p>\n<p>This means that the first &#8220;dirty open secret&#8221; The truth is that Wuhan received taxpayer money, though in indirect ways. This column will explain. But perhaps the larger story being kept in the dark is that that money may have contributed to COVID itself \u2014\u00a0 a possibility that we need more information to answer.<\/p>\n<p>For background, WIV worked with EcoHealth Alliance, a U.S.-based non-governmental organization focusing on scientific research and pandemic prevention for five years between 2014 \u2013 2019. EcoHealth Alliance used a portion of the National Institutes of Health grants to support WIV. It was specifically focused on coronaviruses and bats.<\/p>\n<p>This type of transaction is quite common in the scientific industry. However, a recent Office of Inspector General report from the Health and Human Services Department shows that EcoHealth Alliance and NIH were negligent in their business dealings.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>That alleged trail of negligence, it seems, has left numerous questions in its wake \u2014 particularly just how dangerous the research being conducted at WIV was and its relation to the COVID pandemic.<\/p>\n<p>The following is an extract from the <a href=\"https:\/\/oig.hhs.gov\/oas\/reports\/region5\/52100025.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Publication of IG document<\/a> In January, EcoHealth Alliance and NIH established monitoring procedures for WIV. Both organizations did not follow these measures. According to the government, this is because these groups could be conducting dangerous experiments.<\/p>\n<p>NIH, without going into all the details of the 72-page report did not believe EcoHealth Alliance and WIV would engage in what is called &#8220;enhanced potential pandemic pathogens (ePPPs)&#8221; It was the first time it received grant money. The NGO allegedly did not file a Progress Report and only after NIH requested it in 2020.<\/p>\n<p>The federal watchdog found that NIH had been two years behind in requesting the progress report.<\/p>\n<p>As mentioned previously <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/federal-watchdog-slams-faucis-agency-and-ecohealth-over-deal-with-wuhan-lab\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">reported<\/a> According to The Daily Wire: When the NIH finally received the report in 2021 it was &#8220;believed there was evidence that the research conducted by EcoHealth&#8217;s sub recipient WIV during Year 5 resulted in enhanced growth&#8221; It should have immediately notified NIAID that it was returning in 2019.<\/p>\n<p>EcoHealth Alliance, for its part, argued that the rules were unclear in the first instance and that it reached the conclusion that they were. &#8220;enhanced growth&#8221; or GOF &#8220;is based on a misinterpretation of what the experiment in question actually showed.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>In 2021, NIH requested that EcoHealth Alliance obtain documentation from WIV and send it to NIH for clarification.<\/p>\n<p>WIV has not yet provided the documentation requested and has not shown any willingness to do so since 2020.<\/p>\n<p>NIH blames EcoHealth Alliance and vice versa.
