Su, the former California labor secretary, was confirmed by the Senate in July of 2021 to serve as deputy secretary of labor in a party-line vote, according to\u00a0The Hill.<\/p>\n<p>In a 2021 report from the\u00a0Daily Caller News Foundation, before Su was confirmed to her current position, it was revealed that Su failed to enforce California law aimed at preventing pedophilia in\u00a0Hollywood.\u00a0Su was the California labor commissioner between 2011 and 2018. She led the agency that enforced labor laws in California, including the Hollywood Child Protection Act.
