Perhaps it will one day. Today, Ukraine is still <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/world\/europe\/ukraine-orders-probe-into-russian-linked-church-says-zelenskiy-2022-12-01\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Shutters<\/a> The churches <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2022\/12\/30\/world\/europe\/zelensky-journalism-law-free-speech.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Be limited<\/a> The free press. You might believe these are acceptable actions in wartime, but they are by no means liberal. Ukraine was never a functioning country. &#8220;democracy.&#8221; The people of the country defend their borders and sovereignty against an expansionist aggressor. That&#8217;s enough.<\/p>\n<p>However, one can root for Vladimir Putin&#8217;s humiliation, defeat, and weakness without having to accept the historical revisionism or a <em>Highly<\/em> The idealized Ukraine A person can be fully capable of rooting to see Putin humiliated, defeated, and weakened, as well asking questions about where it all leads.<\/p>\n<p>This week: &#8220;Fox and Friends,&#8221; probable presidential candidate Ron DeSantis <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=MwnJOfkPnVo\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Answered<\/a> A few questions about foreign policy were asked. Maybe the governor will become the next Charles Lindbergh one day, but none of his answers were remotely helpful. &#8220;isolationist&#8221; \u2014 as Axios&#8217; Josh Kraushaar, and many others, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.axios.com\/2023\/02\/26\/ukraine-republicans-desantis-trump\">Claim<\/a>. Except that, any support other than automatic, lockstepping, for any foreign entanglement, is not considered &#8220;isolationist.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>DeSantis&#8217; main criticism was that &#8220;Ukraine has a blank check policy with no clear strategic objective identified.&#8221; This contention is even possible? Other than a vague endgame, the administration has not offered any clear strategy. &#8220;beating&#8221; Russia. That is incredible. What does this mean? Does it mean we keep sending weapons and billions of dollars until Russia is ejected from the Donbas region of eastern Ukraine or until Zelensky takes back Crimea, as well \u2014 which would surely escalate the war into a new bloody phase? Is Russia going to be defeated when Zelensky rides up to the Kremlin in a jeep? It might take some time. <\/p>\n<p>Jennifer Rubin (weirdly), at The Washington Post <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/opinions\/2023\/02\/22\/desantis-flops-foreign-policy\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Accused<\/a> DeSantis pandering to &#8220;pro-Russian apologists&#8221; By dismissing the country &#8220;a third-rate military power.&#8221; According to the Biden administration, Russian tanks won&#8217;t be arriving in Paris, Berlin, or Poland anytime soon. Colin Kahl is the Under Secretary for Defense <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/AaronBlake\/status\/1630625051505508359\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Submitted<\/a> Congress this week &#8220;Ukraine is not going to lose. There will be no loss in Ukraine. I think Vladimir Putin hoped that that would happen. It hasn&#8217;t happened.
