The company now has a zero tolerance policy for such offenses.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We&#8217;ve made a few changes to our policies around violent content and similar language,&#8221; In a statement, the company said. &#8220;Today, we&#8217;ve officially launched our Violent Speech policy, which prohibits violent threats, wishes of harm, glorification of violence, and incitement of violence.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Twitter has a zero-tolerance approach towards Violent Speech, and in most cases, we will suspend any account violating this policy,&#8221; The statement has been added. &#8220;For less severe violations, we may require you to delete the content before you can access your account again.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Twitter is committed to preventing violent speech from being used against its users. We will usually suspend accounts violating this policy. We may ask you to delete content in cases of less serious violations before you can access your account.<\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Twitter Safety (@TwitterSafety) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/TwitterSafety\/status\/1630660504992489475?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">February 28, 2023<\/a><\/p>\n<p>According to the company&#8217;s new policy, users are prohibited from using their computer. &#8220;threaten to inflict physical harm on others, which includes (but is not limited to) threatening to kill, torture, sexually assault, or otherwise hurt someone.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;This also includes threatening to damage civilian homes and shelters, or infrastructure that is essential to daily, civic, or business activities,&#8221; The new policy has been announced.<\/p>\n<p>It also says that users are not permitted to &#8220;wish, hope, or express desire for harm,&#8221; It does not include, but is not limited too: &#8220;hoping for others to die, suffer illnesses, tragic incidents, or experience other physically harmful consequences.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;You may not incite, promote, or encourage others to commit acts of violence or harm, which includes (but is not limited to) encouraging others to hurt themselves or inciting others to commit atrocity crimes including crimes against humanity, war crimes or genocide,&#8221; The policy is stated. &#8220;This also includes using coded language (often referred to as \u2018dog whistles&#8217;) to indirectly incite violence.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>This policy also prohibits users&#8217; praises, glorifying, and celebrating acts violence, as well as praising violent entities and perpetrators of crime.<\/p>\n<p><b data-stringify-type=\"bold\"><a class=\"c-link\" href=\"https:\/\/onelink.to\/dwapp\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-stringify-link=\"https:\/\/onelink.to\/dwapp\" data-sk=\"tooltip_parent\" aria-describedby=\"sk-tooltip-4883\">CLICK HERE TO GET THE DAILY WIRE APP<\/a><\/p>\n<p>According to the company, free speech includes allowing for free speech. &#8220;expressions of violent speech when there is no clear abusive or violent context, such as (but not limited to) hyperbolic and consensual speech between friends, or during discussion of video games and sporting events.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We also allow certain cases of figures of speech, satire, or artistic expression when the context is expressing a viewpoint rather than instigating actionable violence or harm,&#8221; The policy states. &#8220;We make sure to evaluate and understand the context behind the conversation before taking action.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Users who violate this policy will usually have their accounts permanently suspended.
