Harriet Hageman of Wyoming plans to blast plans from Fish and Wildlife Service to offer training to federal employees &#8220;ecogrief&#8221; To cope with the trauma caused by climate change <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtontimes.com\/news\/2023\/feb\/15\/ecogrief-interior-department-pays-help-employees-d\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">According <\/a>According to the Washington Times the southwest region of the federal agency is looking to hire staffers &#8220;a chance to define what they mean by ecological grief, space to examine their emotional reactions and tools to grapple with those feelings.&#8221; <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;This 4-hour workshop seeks to normalize the wide range of emotional responses that conservationists experience while empowering participants to act while taking care of themselves,&#8221; Read the Washington Times review of this notice. &#8220;The workshop is intended for those experiencing ecological grief and for those who wish to support them.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Hageman condemned the workshops in prepared remarks, which he shared exclusively with The Federalist. <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;This would be comical if it was a private company wasting its own money, but it&#8217;s not \u2014 it is our federal government \u2014 and that makes it <em>our<\/em> money that is being misappropriated and used to further a political agenda,&#8221; Hageman intends to speak. Hageman claims that Hageman intends to say this. &#8220;increase the cost of putting food on your table, a roof over your head, and gas in your car.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Ecogrief is admittedly a smaller budget item than many other woke programs,&#8221; The speech is read. &#8220;That, however, is no reason to ignore what it portends, or the real underlying agenda being pushed by this federal agency.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Hageman, in an interview with The Federalist stated that she has not spoken to any of the Democrat colleagues about seminars, but stressed other Republicans. &#8220;are pretty offended.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;When I first heard of the \u2018ecogrief&#8217; class sponsored by FWS, I thought this was a joke,&#8221; Rep. Pete Stauber, R.Minn., spoke to the Washington Times. &#8220;This is taxpayer waste, plain and simple, and our House Republican majority will be holding this administration accountable.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Republican Rep. Paul Gosar from Arizona told the Washington Times that the seminars are taking place in the southwest region of agency. &#8220;nonsensical and a complete and total waste of resources.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;If you really want to get anxious, think about a possible coming ice age,&#8221; Gosar stated. &#8220;A warm earth creates prosperity, abundant food and growth. A colder earth results in death and starvation. The last mini-ice age (1100-1800) wreaked havoc in the Northern Hemisphere.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Data from Lancet Medical journal <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/BjornLomborg\/status\/1596537142678900736?s=20\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Shows<\/a> Nine times more people are killed by cold temperatures than by extreme heat.<\/p>\n<p>Hageman stated in an interview with The Federalist, that the Fish and Wildlife Service&#8217;s ecogrief seminars will be. &#8220;specifically addressed&#8221; Whether by appropriations, or any other legislative process. She also mentioned that the House Committee on Natural Resources was involved in this matter. &#8220;is working on an oversight request.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>After Liz Cheney left the panel, Hageman was elected to the committee.
